Listen: ‘The LEGO Movie 2’s “Catchy Song” Will Try To Up “Everything Is Awesome”
  |  @   |

It’s almost impossible to top The LEGO Movie‘s great song “Everything Is Awesome.” While it may have lost the chance to win an Academy Award, it definitely left behind a legacy for being a very upbeat, cheery, and unforgettable tune. It wouldn’t be much of a LEGO Movie without that signature song. So they will try to up things in the sequel The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part with a song titled “Catchy Song,” which includes lyrics like “This song’s gonna get stuck inside your head.”

The full song from the cast and Dillon Francis featuring T-Pain and That Girl Lay Lay has now been shared online along with a brief featurette about the song. Check them out below.

‘Hotel Artemis’ Red Band Trailer: Killers, Bank Robbers, An Angry Orderly, and Jeff Goldblum
  |  @   |

Sure, Hotel Artemis may have the same aesthetics as a John Wick – the exclusivity, the rules of the hospital, the high-priced killers – but it still looks like a whole lot of fun.

There is a new red band trailer for the film that ups the violence and bad language. But I can’t be sure it will be enough to get out of John Wick‘s shadow. If anything the electric cast should be enough to get us interested in watching it. Check out the trailer below.

The first Pacific Rim was more style over substance. Where the film excelled in its visual spectacle, it clearly lacked in strong character development and an engaging narrative. With so much missing, it’s hard to believe that a sequel could ever be greenlit. And yet, here we are, with Pacific Rim Uprising. An unnecessary sequel, that no one asked for, and yet, it’s still so much fun to watch. My full review below.

‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ Trailer: These Jaegers Are Ready For IMAX Action
  |  @   |

Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim gets high marks for its giant robot vs Kaiju fun. Though the film was more style than substance, and almost all of it took place in the dark, making it that much harder to see the fights. However, Pacific Rim: Uprising looks like it will take a new direction. The connective tissues of its predecessor are still there. Familiar characters are making a return, and John Boyega (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father (played by Idris Elba) gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous Kaiju.

Of course, there are the giant robots and Kaiju. However, the sequel seems to be introducing new elements into the franchise. And one that may present a threat to the Jaeger pilots when another Jaeger appears to them as the opposition. Check out the latest trailer below.
