Like a lot of Walt Disney animated films, The Lion King has stood the test of time in its own way. The celebrated piece is a powerful film that has beautiful animation, resonating themes, catchy songs, and plenty of charm to boot. It’s no wonder that it is among our favorite films. Now, The Lion King gets, yet another, re-release in “The Circle Of Life” edition as part of the Walt Disney Signature Collection. Like many of these re-releases, this one is chock full of bonus extras that will have fans fall in love once more and introduce this lovely film to a new generation who may have never seen it before. Pixar’s Coco will attempt to chart the world of the dead. Directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) and Adrian Molina, the movie centers on Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), who is magically transported to the world of the undead, and joins trickster Hector (voice of Gael GarcÃa Bernal) on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
We’ve already seen two trailers, and now the studio has previewed some brand new footage just in time for this year’s D23 Expo. So if you are already pleased by what you have seen so far, get ready to get even more excited by the footage description. Check it all out below.

One of the things that continues to impress me about Pixar’s Cars franchise is its resiliency and heart. Though it is considered to be one of Pixar’s weakest franchises, it managed to become a trilogy. It may not resonate as much with fans as some other Pixar films do, but Cars has continually shown that it has what it takes to be great. Even if it that means it needed to take two “very safe” films to get there. So Cars 3 doesn’t take any huge risks, it takes an unconventional approach to possibly ending Lightning McQueen’s (Owen Wilson) story.
While that is a bit refreshing for the franchise, it does come with its own set of issues and concerns. All of it depends on how you look at it. Check out my full review below.
Following the news announcing an all-Latino cast for Pixar’s Coco, comes a brand new trailer that provides a more detailed look at the world that the animated studio has created.
From Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) and Adrian Molina, the movie centers on Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), who is magically transported to the world of the undead, and joins trickster Hector (voice of Gael GarcÃa Bernal), on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. The full list of voice talents for Disney”¢Pixar’s Coco has been revealed. The film, which has a strong emphasis on family ties and draws inspiration from DÃa de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), will follow a young boy who dreams of becoming like his late musical idol. Director Lee Unkrich says it was important for the film to have an all-Latino cast, and searched for the talent from Mexico and from Los Angeles. So the film is an appropriate reflection of the characters in the film.
Now he’s found that perfect cast. Find out more about them and the characters they play, plus what Unkrich and co-director Adrian Molina had to say about the film and a new poster, below.
