Paramount has struggled to get Star Trek 4 up and running, so the film has been hanging out in development hell for a while.
Now it looks like they’re ready to bring the film back with the original crew from the rebooted series including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho, and Karl Urban, and with Lucy In The Sky director Noah Hawley writing and helming the sequel. More on the report below.
News on director Patty Jenkins‘ Wonder Woman 1984, one again starring Gal Gadot in the title role, has been low ever since it ended production and had a tiny preview at CinemaCon. Though very little is known about the upcoming sequel, we know that it will take audiences back to a different time period and see Wonder Woman go up against Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) at the height of the Cold War. There are other characters to consider, as well. Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor, and Connie Nielsen reprises her role as Hippolyta. And now we are learning about the character Pedro Pascal is playing.
It has been confirmed that Pascal will be playing Maxwell Lord, a villainous businessman with telepathic persuasion powers. More on the report below.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse changes everything we know about the title character and the animation medium. Looking back, it is no wonder it won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Visually, it’s unlike anything anyone has ever seen. Every single frame looks like a comic book panel come to life. Then there’s the story, which is equally impressive as we not only get to see a new side of the Spider-Man lore but also a timely origins story that comes to life as it echoes the importance of representation.
Now is the time to bring the animated sensation home because the film arrives on 4K, Blu-ray, Digital, and DVD today. Loaded with a ton of bonus features that include deleted scenes, in-depth making of features, a tribute to Stan Lee, and so much more, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is an absolute must-have for anyone who is a fan of the character, Miles Morales, or just the animation medium itself. Director Patty Jenkins‘ sequel Wonder Woman 1984, starring Gal Gadot is easily one of the most anticipated films of next year. The sequel is apparently so massive that it had to be pushed back from its November 2019 release all the way to summer 2020. But it is never too early to talk about the inevitable third installment of the franchise.
Given its success and the worldwide appeal the character has, it would be a huge surprise if there isn’t a Wonder Woman 3. And Jenkins isn’t exactly shy to talk about what we could see in it. Nor is she afraid to talk about fan requests for her to direct a Justice League film. More on all of that below.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is ending up on many critics’ top ten lists for their favorites of the year – including my own. The film dazzles the screen with moving comic panels and comes alive with pop-up action blurbs. It’s unlike any other film you’ve seen before. It only gets better with a new web spin on the classic webhead. We don’t have to hear another retelling of Peter Parker’s story. Instead, Miles Morales swings in as the lead, breathing new life into the Spider-Man lore.
And now, you can read the script, written by co-producer Phil Lord and co-director Rodney Rothman, for yourself. It’s full of self-deprecating humor, hilarious gags, heartfelt moments, and heart-stopping action. Check it out below.
