Mission: Impossible – Fallout may be the sixth installment of the film franchise, but for something that has been around for the better part of 20 years, it manages to find new and inventive ways to raise the stakes and stay fresh. Tom Cruise reprises his role as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, the fearless spy who is willing to risk his own life to see that the mission gets done. However, the spy faces his greatest test yet when his loyalty to his country is tested and nuclear bombs are scattered in the winds.
While it may be just another Mission: Impossible film, Fallout is anything but that. Full of pulse-pounding moments, the latest entry proves to be the best one yet, as it will have you on the edge of your seat with dazzling action set pieces, brilliant pacing, and a story with so many twist and turns your head will spin. As promised, Paramount has released our first look at Mission: Impossible – Fallout with a Super Bowl spot and a full trailer. Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as agent Ethan Hunt, reunites with his Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation director Christopher McQuarrie. And based on the film’s poster, which debuted last week, the sequel will live up to the death-defying stunts that the MI films are largely known for. Remember how Cruise scaled the world’s tallest building, or clung on for dear life on the side of an aircraft while in midair? Well, the actor is now taking it one step further by dangling from a helicopter. Check it out here below.
Don’t let his age fool you, Tom Cruise has been putting himself through a lot of hurt to bring a sense of realism to his films. That means he does his own stunts, even if those stunts risk his life. We’ve seen him scaling the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Then he hung onto the side of a plane in Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation. So what’s next for him in Mission: Impossible 6? Well, apparently it is a sequence that he has spent a year training for.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is full proof that a Star Wars spinoff can work. The film is a massive box office success with the film earning over $1 billion worldwide.
Now on the off chance that you missed it in theaters, you will be able to get to see it in the comfort of your own home when the film hits Digital HD in March or Blu-ray and DVD in April. Check out a new trailer and the special features below.
