‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Chinese Trailer

We’re just eight short days away from the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story here in the States. Some countries will have to wait just a little bit longer to see the movie, such as China, where it will be released on January 6th.

To help make those extra days waiting a little less painful for China, a brand new Chinese trailer has been released. The new trailer shares some new footage, including of Donnie Yen‘s Chirrut ÃŽmwe character.

‘Rogue One’ Featurette Peers Into Creatures Of ‘Star Wars’

Practical effects are coming back in a big way, and we have Star Wars to thank for that. The drive to have real physical effects gives a film a bit more believability, and we saw a lot of that in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now, Lucasfilm will continue that tradition in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

With the film just two weeks away from release, we are getting a new look at how they brought the creatures to life in a brand new behind-the-scenes featurette. ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Scribe Tony Gilroy To Make $5 Million Off Rewrites

Sometimes one man’s controversy is another man’s $5 million paycheck. At least for Tony Gilroy. As you may recall, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was embroiled in a lengthy controversy when the film entered a summer-long reshoot session that required the aid of Gilroy doing rewrites for the film. Normally, a reshoot for any film, especially one of this size, is not really a cause for concern, but because Disney and Lucasfilm were not pleased with the film’s tone, and that a rumored 40% of the film needed to be reshot in order to address some of its major issues, like tone.

Now that the reshoots are fully behind us and Rogue One is already having its press tour, we can look forward to seeing if these reshoots helped or hurt the first Star Wars spinoff. Regardless of what happens, though, Gilroy is getting a nice paycheck out of all of this. One that amounts to $5 million. More on the story below.

It comes as no surprise that people waited out in lines and even crashed Fandango to get their hands on early tickets for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The film is still one of the most highly anticipated films of the year as many are interested in seeing how Disney and Lucasfilm’s first spinoff will pan out.

While the film is still a few weeks away from release, fans will be able to get an exclusive look at the film this Friday. No, you don’t need to buy an IMAX ticket or be part of a lottery, you can just head over to Twitter to get a look at never-before-scene content followed by a Q&A session with the director, Gareth Edwards, and the cast of the film. ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Tracking For $130 Million Opening

It’s been no secret that Disney CEO Bob Iger isn’t expecting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to have the same opening numbers that Star Wars: The Force Awakens had. Still, from an optimistic point of view, it could have stellar numbers because it is a part of the Star Wars franchise and the first of the many spinoffs we will get throughout the coming years.

Now box office projection numbers are coming in, and it puts Rogue One‘s opening numbers pretty high. According to reports, they could be as high as $130 million. More on the story below.
