Last week on The Last Man On Earth, Phil and Mike Miller (Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis) were finally reunited running towards each other on a beach, and ending with a punch to the groin. Everyone was horrified. At least it took the heat off the two pieces of news that had just been confessed: Todd (Mel Rodriguez) had been sleeping with Gail and Melissa (Mary Steenburgen and January Jones), and kissed Erica (Cleopatra Coleman), then proposed a four-way. And Phil admitted to Carol (Kristen Schaal) that he lied about his fertility test coming back positive.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Season 3 Episode 2: “The Funeral”
Directed by Claire Scanlon
Written by Luke Del Tredici
Created by Daniel J Goor, Michael Schur
Starring Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller, Terry Crews
Air Date: Sunday, October 4th, 2015, 8:30pm

Last week‘s Brooklyn Nine-Nine came back strong for their 3rd season. Holt (Andre Braugher) and the 99th Precinct are still apart, but that doesn’t mean the laughs have to stop. Jake and Amy (Andy Samberg and Melissa Fumero) decided to keep things casual (you know-after the kiss), with Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) almost on to them, until Jake makes up an imaginary gym floozy. Things escalate much further. Wunch (guest star Kyra Sedgwick) delights in the PR position torture of Holt. He ends up in a pigeon costume, yet still dignified. At least he has Gina (Chelsea Peretti). Bill Hader guested last week as the “New Captain,” but quickly died. Does not take a rocket scientist to figure out who “The Funeral” of this week is for. And that is what this episode is about – comedy against a funeral backdrop. Fun!

A couple of spoilers below. Proceed with caution!
