New Trailer For Marvel’s ‘Cloak & Dagger’ TV Series Released

Marvel Entertainment has released a new trailer for Cloak & Dagger, the latest TV series based on Marvel comic book characters.

The series stars Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson (Cloak) and Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowen (Dagger). The show follows the two teens, each having a secret they’ve never told anyone about, who come from vastly different backgrounds but end up connecting with one another.

‘Cloak & Dagger’ Trailer: Teen-Friendly Show With A Marvel Superhero Hook

Marvel Entertainment’s TV series aren’t exactly quality television. They’re pure escapism. The best way to describe these shows is cheesy, substandard, but somehow hypnotic and fun. That’s all before the fatigue starts to set in. That being said, it’s hard to deny the success of these shows with their being renewed for new seasons.

But now they are ready to dive into young adult territory with Cloak & Dagger. The new show will center on two teenage runaways who discover they have a mysterious connection to each other that allows them to access their superhuman powers. ‘Cloak & Dagger’: Title Roles Cast For Upcoming Live Action Marvel Series

A pair of actors have been chosen to take on the title roles in the live-action TV series Cloak & Dagger, based on the Marvel comic book title and duo of the same name.

It’s been announced that Olivia Holt, a recording artist and former Disney Channel star known for Kickin’ It and I Didn’t Do It, will play Tandy Bowen. While Aubrey Joseph (The Night Of, Run All Night) is set to play Tyrone Johnson.

I have always been a bit of a Cloak and Dagger fan, and I have been pleased to see them in more Marvel Comics lately. They were duped by Norman Osborn into joining his Dark X-Men, but came to their senses and joined the real X-Men team. I was really excited about my favorite duo on the team.

For the uninitiated, Cloak and Dagger were two runaway kids living on the streets who were kidnapped and injected with drugs. These drugs transformed Tandy Bowen into Dagger, a creature of light energy, and Tyrone “Ty” Johnson became Cloak, a creature powered by Darkforce who teleports and absorbs energy, usually from humans, to survive.
