Video: Disney-Pixar Putt Pop-Up In NYC & Interview With Emma Berman From ‘Luca’

A new destination attraction just opened in Battery Park in lower Manhattan. Pixar Putt is a Disney Pixar-inspired mini golf course located next to Pier A with views of the Statue of Liberty and The Freedom Tower on either side. The pop-up comes on the heels of Pixar’s latest film Luca, which premiered on Disney Plus earlier this Summer and was just released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray. Celebrating the opening of Pixar Putt, Emma Berman, Giulia in Luca, was there to play a few holes and answer some of our questions.

Emma, who just turned 13, is making her big screen debut in Luca and instantly became a fan favorite, especially with my 10-year-old daughter. You can check out our full video interview below.

‘Toy Story 3’ and ‘Coco’ Director Lee Unkrich Leaving Pixar

Lee Unkrich, the director behind films like Toy Story 3 and Coco, will be leaving Pixar after working at the animation studio for the past 25 years.

Although Unkrich only directed two films at Pixar, he leaves behind a legacy at the studio, having won them multiple Academy Awards. More on his departure below.

Oscars 2018 Highlights: ‘The Shape Of Water’, ‘Get Out’, ‘Coco’

The 90th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was broadcasted live on ABC on Sunday night, March 4, 2018, from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA, with Jimmy Kimmel returning as host.

PGA 2018 Winners: ‘The Shape Of Water,’ ‘Coco,’ ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ and ‘Black Mirror’ All Win

The winners of the 2018 Producers Guild of America Awards were announced recently. The winners often are an indicator of who will win the top awards. So in the case for films, it will tell us who will win the Academy Award for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. In fact, the PGAs have correctly matched the Oscar for Best Picture in 19 of its 28 years. However, La La Land proved to be one of the exceptions last year, as it won the PGA, but lost to Moonlight for Best Picture.

This year, The Shape of Water, Coco, The Handmaid’s Tale, and Black Mirror came out as the big winners. Check out the full list of winners below.

2018 Producers Guild Award Nominees: ‘The Big Sick,’ ‘The Shape Of Water,’ ‘Get Out’

Following the release of the nominees for the 2018 Writers Guild Of America Awards, come the nominations for the 2018 Producers Guild Awards. The Big Sick, The Shape Of Water, Get Out, The Post, and Lady Bird are among the biggest names to earn nods, as well as some awards favorites like I, Tonya, Lady Bird, Call Me By Your Name, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

However, films like Phantom Thread, The Florida Project, and Logan appear to have been snubbed. But Wonder Woman is continuing to prove that well-crafted comic book films can also be award-contending films. Check out the full list of nominees here below.
