With Star Wars: The Last Jedi just a few more months away from release, Disney and Lucasfilm are already looking to get a head start on Star Wars: Episode IX. Though production has yet to start, the film is already seeing a few changes in the writing staff.
According to a new report, Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connelly‘s script will be getting a rewrite from Wonder writer Jack Thorne. More on the story below.
As a kid who grew up in between two generations of Star Wars, it was odd to see the stark difference between the two. Though each generation may have its fans, Star Wars will continue to tell stories of a galaxy far, far away. Two years ago, Star Wars: The Force Awakens started a new trilogy, and last year we saw the first spinoff of its kind in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Now with the impending release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, fans are not only interested in seeing what the future holds for Rey, Finn, and Poe, but also Luke Skywalker and General Leia. Of course, there are others who are looking beyond The Last Jedi.
For Star Wars: Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow, he has his work cut out for him, as plans to have Leia in a more crucial role in his film had to be reworked when Carrie Fisher died last year. While it is still not clear what kind of role Leia would have had in the film, it appears that Trevorrow still wants to make sure that these films will resonate not only with current fans, but also new ones as well. Check out what he had to say below.
Yesterday, director Colin Trevorrowteased the Super Bowl spot for Jurassic World, the upcoming fourth installment of the Jurassic Park film franchise, with a look at one of the movie’s dinosaurs.
This evening, the TV spot aired on NBC just before Super Bowl game play and is now online. Watch it here below!
The addition of a new dinosaur in Colin Treverrow‘s Jurassic World was inevitable. As the trailer alluded to, the dinosaur the theme park scientists cooked up is beyond their control, and will obviously terrorize guests and staff members. Much of what the Indominus Rex, the fearsome new hybrid dinosaur, looks like is unknown, and has only been teased through merchandise and social media.
Through the film’s website, images of the new dinosaur has been teased. In addition, the theme park viral site updates also include new images of the island as well as information on some of the dinosaurs that may be seen in the film. Hit the jump to check them out.
