We ring in the New Year with our first new show of 2014! This week we discuss a new Pebble watch, cloud gaming on Sony PlayStation, T-Mobile wants to pay you to switch, Facebook is dead to teens, are digital music downloads already obsolete?…the legacy of the SnowdenNSA leaks, and a cube that balances on its edge.
Thanks to our friends at Top Cow Productions and their partners at Heroes and Villains Entertainment, Geeks of Doom is thrilled to present a 9-page preview of their upcoming genre-blending samurai vs. vampires mini-series, Bushido.
Written by Rob Levin and illustrated by Jessada Sutthi, Bushido takes place in feudal Japan and tells the tale of Kichiro, a young shipwrecked boy who is raised by samurai and trained in the art of Bushido. As he grows, and a vampiric threat emerges, Kichiro will lead a small group of samurai as Japan’s only line of defense.
Bushido #1 will be released digitally at ComiXology on July 12th, 2013 with a print copy to follow in October. Check out the preview pages here below to prepare yourself for the way of the samurai.

Never judge a book by its cover. We’ve all heard that, right? Well, toss that in the rubbish bin. The cover is what drew me to this comic and I went in hoping for something dark and twisted. Guess what? I got my wish. Tabatha #1 delivered in spades.
Imagine a sunny day in Los Angeles, birds are chirping and kids are playing. It’s just another day in the life of Luke, the friendly mailman out on his route. After getting harassed by his boss, he got right to work delivering packages and envelopes to the public. Getting attacked by a little old lady, being subjected to a very naked and very large man, getting to flirt with a sexy, tattooed beauty…these are just regular occurrences with our happy-go-lucky postal employee.

ComiXology has announced a new service called comiXology Submit which could be a real game-changer when it comes to comic book publishing.
The service is built mainly for independent comic book and graphic novel creators. It will allow them to upload their works for free, and, if approved, comiXology will then take over, prepare it, and make it available to the masses so that your work can be seen by many and you can make a profit.
