‘Lights Out’ and ‘Annabelle: Creation’ Director David F. Sandberg’s Next Horror ‘The Unsound’ Acquired By Netflix
Before landing the gig directing Shazam! for DC Films, David F. Sandberg made a name for himself in the realms of horror with Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation.
Sandberg is set to return to horror’s loving arms with his next project, The Unsound, which is an adaptation of the BOOM! Studios graphic novel of the same name. And now it’s been announced that Netflix has acquired the rights to the project.

I’m pretty much game for anything written by Cullen Bunn, therefore it should come as no shock that The Unsound #1 would make its way onto my desk. Always creepy and a little twisted, his horror stories tend to be dependable sources of entertainment and each comic series unique.
This one finds a nurse making her way to her first day at work at a mental institution. But as she makes her way there, we see the world outside is just as dark, twisted, and suffering as anything that could be inside the hospital. That is, until we see what is inside.

Okay, first off, if I have to try to convince you to buy a comic that contains eight premiere issues for a measly six bucks then I might just have to reassess what I am doing here.
I have reviewed any number of these titles at different times and I cannot even begin to stress to you how great of a deal this is. Dark Horse Comics continues to amaze me with their marketing strategies. I can think of no better way to test out some new comics than with this compilation.
