A few years back a video game was released titled Cuphead. The game, which was developed and published by Studio MDHR, immediately stood out due to its incredible art style, which resembled a cartoon you might have seen back in the 1930s.
Now it’s been announced that an animated series based on the game titled The Cuphead Show! is on the way to Netflix. You can find much more info below.
Last year we found out about an amazing looking game called Cuphead, a side-scrolling platformer game uniquely presented in the same style as an old 1930s animated cartoon.
The game is on hand at Gamescom 2015, where various people are getting to actually play it. And while it still looks awesome, the 10-minute gameplay video and others you can find online reveal something about Cuphead: it’s really, really hard. Like Dark Souls, you will likely be dying a whole lot.
You can read more about the game and check out the 10 minutes of gameplay as well as a recently released trailer below.
If you’re a fan of both video games and old school animation, Cuphead may just be one you want to keep an eye on.
The game comes from Studio MDHR, who describe it as a 1930s cartoon-inspired run-and-gun game in the style of a one-on-one fighter. Their hope is to have episodes of the game, each with 10-15 boss fights, and to eventually break the Guinness World Record for most boss fights in a run-and-gun game.
