Swiss Army Man is the story of hope, friendship, and farting. The first full-length feature from writer/director team Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan …aka “The Daniels.” I don’t want to give any intimate details of the film, because it may be the single most original film I’ve ever seen. If you’ve heard of Swiss Army Man, you probably know the basic plot. A shipwrecked man (Paul Dano) on the verge of suicide finds a washed-up corpse on the beach (Daniel Radcliffe), and their insane friendship restores the hope that our main character can survive his ordeal. Oh yeah and the corpse farts”¦ a lot. The two Daniels won the Directing Award at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and the film has quickly developed a cult reputation.
Twentieth Century Fox has released the official trailer for their upcoming film Victor Frankenstein, starring James McAvoy as the famed literary scientist Victor Frankenstein and Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe as his sidekick Igor.
Watch the full trailer here below, which includes an introduction by the two aforementioned main stars.
It’s not everyday you’ll see Geeks of Doom covering something related to NYLON Magazine; it’s nothing against them, they’re just a big fancy fashion and beauty magazine and we’re a humble home for all things geek. And because I know damn well how to apply my own makeup. You should see the magic I create with a concealer brush. But when it involves Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe having some fun at the expense of unsuspecting office employees, that’s something we can all enjoy.
Radcliffe visited the NYLON offices recently and filled in as their receptionist for an hour, without any of the employees being aware of the arrangement. As you might have guessed, things didn’t go so well for him. But things did go well for the elated few who recognized him. You can watch the video of the prank below.
Harry Potter, The Woman in Black, and Horns star Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to star in a new movie, in which he’ll play Sam Houser, the co-founder of Rockstar Games and one of the creators of the massive Grand Theft Auto video game franchise.
The movie is based on the book titled Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto by David Kushner, and tells the story of Houser’s battle with one of the most prominent and vocal anti-gaming activists, Miami lawyer Jack Thompson, who made the GTA franchise the focal point of his mission to ban video game violence.
Judd Apatow rarely directs something that he hasn’t written. So for him to helm a romantic comedy written by Comedy Central series star Amy Schumer tells us a lot about the comedian and her skills as a writer.
The first trailers for Trainwreck have finally gone online. In the film, Schumer plays a young journalists who has been told that there is no such thing as monogamy her whole life by her father. Living by that philosophy, she is doing pretty well for herself, that is until her next interview (played by Bill Hader) proves to turn everything she has come to know about commitment upside down.
