The latest gameplay trailer for Dark Souls III has been released.
The new trailer is something of a music video, set to a cover of the song “True Colors” performed by Richie Kohan and featuring Faux Fix, while also showing off some previously unseen gameplay footage.
The Gamescom convention kicked off in Germany today, and there’s been plenty of exciting video game goodness shared already.
The third entry in developer From Software’s massively popular Dark Souls franchise, simply titled Dark Souls III, was officially announced at E3 2015 a couple of months back. Now the first gameplay preview for the trilogy-maker has been unveiled at Gamescom during the Microsoft presentation today.
While Dark Souls II was released on the current generation of consoles, it was first released on the previous generation, making this the first “next-gen” release for the excited fans of the series. You can see what it looks like below.
The official Gamescom 2014 gameplay demo for Bloodborne, the latest game from the makers of Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls II, has found its way online. It runs about six minutes in length.
While fans of the games will notice that Bloodborne is set in an entirely different Victorian era-inspired nightmare of a location than the more fantastical (but still nightmarish) locations found in the Souls games, they will also notice just how similar the actual gameplay looks to those previous games.
You can find out more about the game and check out the gameplay demo as well as a trailer below.
One of the many things the folks behind the Dark Souls games do well, is cinematics. This truth is reaffirmed in a new trailer for their upcoming sequel, Dark Souls II.
The trailer opens with a dark and rainy cinematic sequence before moving into various shots of gameplay action…shots that remind anyone who’s planning to play the game just what they’re in for: pain. Lots of pain. And death, of course. Plenty of death.
Game fans rejoiced (and some wept) when it was revealed that Dark Souls II, a sequel to one of the hardest games ever made (click here for a NSFW but hilarious example) in Dark Souls, was on the way. Those feelings only escalated when we saw our first gameplay footage, which confirmed that this too would be an infuriatingly difficult game to take on.
Now comes a new trailer out of E3 2013 for the game, which is brief but still shows us some new footage. You can check out the new Dark Souls II trailer below now!
