I’m pretty much game for anything written by Cullen Bunn, therefore it should come as no shock that The Unsound #1 would make its way onto my desk. Always creepy and a little twisted, his horror stories tend to be dependable sources of entertainment and each comic series unique.

This one finds a nurse making her way to her first day at work at a mental institution. But as she makes her way there, we see the world outside is just as dark, twisted, and suffering as anything that could be inside the hospital. That is, until we see what is inside.

Valiant Entertainment Releases For March 16, 2016

Here are the newest comic releases from Valiant Entertainment. The big one here is the new A&A: The Adventures Of Archer & Armstrong; it is definitely my pick of this group. Too often comic books take themselves too seriously, whereas this seems to take delight in having a good time. But take a look through them all, you might find something that’s just right for you!

Comic Book Art Blogs Worth Viewing: The Sindiecate

There are a lot of great comic book art blogs out there, beyond the deviantart pages of the world, and if you’re a comic book fan, these are webpages that you should be checking out on a daily basis. All this week (okay, so we had a bit of a break, I had to find some more to talk about), I’m going to highlight a few that I think are worthy of your attention or are just pages for some of my favorite artists.

The Sindiecate is one of the newest art collective blogs. In fact it just started a few weeks ago. The artists involved in this one are David Lafuente, Jorge Munoz, James Harren, Ryan Ottley, and Mike Choi. Their stated goal is to “pay homage to independent comic books and authors.” The first theme they tackled was Todd deZago and Mike Wieringo’s Tellos, with Jonathan Ross/Tommy Lee Edwards being the second theme. This week is focusing on Locke and Key, and there are already a couple of great pieces up.
