For the first time in a long time, we will not be getting a Doctor Who Christmas Special. Instead, this year we will be getting a New Year’s special. So in the absence of a much-missed Doctor Who tradition, we look into some of the great Christmas Specials from years gone by…
There is a lot of buzz going around regarding the Amazon Prime Video original series, Good Omens, based on the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch. Pfeff-Bot (me!) of Geeks of Doom had the opportunity to interview the cast and creators of Good Omens following the electrifying New York Comic-Con panel and trailer release on Saturday afternoon, October 6th.

The end is nigh, but the cast and creators of Good Omens still found the time to chat with New York Comic-Con attendees and share the new trailer for the Amazon Prime original series, which you can watch here below. In attendance for the NYCC panel at Madison Square Garden were stars Michael Sheen (Aziraphale), David Tennant (Crowley), Jon Hamm (Archangel Gabriel) and Miranda Richardson (Madame Tracy), as well as creator and showrunner Neil Gaiman, moderator Whoopi Goldberg, and director Douglas Mackinnon.

Beginnings, they are such tenuous times. Except on Doctor Who, where nearly every beginning is also an ending. In less than two weeks, the Doctor returns to our television screens with a new face: Jodie Whittaker. To celebrate a moment that’s only happened a dozen times in the last 55 years, Titan Comics assembled Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor #0 with an intriguing premise.
During Amazon’s Prime Showcase panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 their adaptation of Good Omens, the book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, was on hand.
At one point during the show’s time on stage a disembodied voice rang out, speaking to Gaiman, who created the series and is the showrunner. The voice belonged to God, a character on the show. And who was voicing God? That would be two-time Academy Award winner Frances McDormand (Fargo, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri).
