  |  @   |

Following the release of the nominees for the 2018 Writers Guild Of America Awards, come the nominations for the 2018 Producers Guild Awards. The Big Sick, The Shape Of Water, Get Out, The Post, and Lady Bird are among the biggest names to earn nods, as well as some awards favorites like I, Tonya, Lady Bird, Call Me By Your Name, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

However, films like Phantom Thread, The Florida Project, and Logan appear to have been snubbed. But Wonder Woman is continuing to prove that well-crafted comic book films can also be award-contending films. Check out the full list of nominees here below.

New ‘Despicable Me 3’ Trailer Released
  |  @   |

Illumination Entertainment has released a new trailer for Despicable Me 3, which is set to be released in theaters this summer.

The animated trilogy-maker once again follows Gru (Steve Carell), his family, and his Minions. This time around Gru has to deal with Balthazar Bratt (voiced by South Park co-creator Trey Parker), who uses the character he played as a child star in the ’80s as his villainous persona, while also considering a return to villainy himself after meeting his long-lost twin brother Dru.

Despicable Me took the studio to where it is now, and Universal has released the first trailer for Despicable Me 3, starring Steve Carrell, Kristen Wiig, and Trey Parker.

  |  @   |

In addition to the announcement that Sherlock and The Hobbit star Benedict Cumberbatch would be voicing the Grinch in a new animated take on How the Grinch Stole Christmas from the makers of Minions and the upcoming Secret Life of Pets, Illumination Entertainment also covered the trilogy-maker in the franchise that put them on the map, Despicable Me, during their CinemaCon presentation.

Despicable Me 3 is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2017, just a handful of months before the release of the above mentioned new take on The Grinch. But it’s a very interesting casting announcement that’s grabbing the headlines. Trey Parker, who co-created South Park with Matt Stone and provides the voices for many of the hit animated show’s characters such as Eric Cartman and Stan Marsh, is set to voice the third installment’s villain.
