It’s official: Disney has announced the development of an original television movie called Descendants based on the teenage children of several fan-favorite villains. And with the ever-popular fairytale genre in both TV and film (Once Upon A Time, Grimm, Snow White and the Huntsman, the forthcoming Maleficent, among a multitude of others), why not?

The movie will be directed by Kenny Ortega, who’s worked with Disney in the past on projects like Hocus Pocus and the High School Musical movies, and written by Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott (Runaway Bride, Desperate Housewives), with a 2015 Disney Channel premiere planned.

The shows reflected the time period, of course. Ready to exercise with Mickey and friends in Mousercise? And who could forget Welcome to Pooh Corner? Certainly not this young viewer.
