Two months after the Disney Wonder returned from its dry dock, the ship is looking better than ever in its more than 17-year history. With tons of new experiences and re-themed spaces, it’s no wonder why many cruise-goers may opt to set sail on this vessel.

I recently returned from a seven-day voyage aboard the Disney Wonder, and I am here to share details on the novel experiences aboard Disney Cruise Line’s second ship.

Fifty years ago this December, the world lost an entertainment icon who defined much of pop culture and Americana during the 20th century. The passing of Walt Disney, unexpected to many who were unaware of his lung cancer struggles, reverberated across the globe. Many seemed to wonder if the company that bore its founder’s name would continue in the same manner as it had for decades. Thankfully, the company has only grown and improved over the past 50 years.

This special three-part edition of Disney In Depth (the first released now in September; with the following two to debut in October and November, respectively) recognizes 50 defining moments in The Walt Disney Company’s history over these past 50 years (1967 – 2016). Let the (chronological) countdown begin!

As the Disney Fantasy nears closer to celebrating four years on the open seas, and I recently returned from setting sail on my third voyage on the magnificent vessel, I wanted to place focus on its five main musical productions in the Walt Disney Theatre.

Two of the three featured musicals are exclusive to the Disney Fantasy, two honor the arrival and departure of guests, and the other is appropriately named Believe. Reviewing these five shows required having seen each of them multiple times and evaluating them in comparison to not only one another on the Disney Fantasy, but also those on Disney Cruise Line’s other ships and within the domestic theme parks.
