No one really dies in comic books. That saying can be extended to comic book movies like the ones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where characters who died in various movies across different time periods reappear in some form or another in later movies. Usually, this requires the actor to come back to reprise their respective role, with an exception to Hugo Weaving who did not come back to play Red Skull in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. But what if an actor came back to the MCU, but for a different role entirely?
Well, that could be the case according to a new report that says Captain Marvel star Gemma Chan is in talks for a role in The Eternals. More on the report below.
Marvel Studios hasn’t had a major appearance at San Diego Comic-Con since 2017, and they made up for their absence in a very big way at SDCC 2019. First they announced the end of “The Infinity Saga,” which is the first 11 years of films since the studio launched way back in 2008. Then Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed a few titles and a few stars that will appear in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One of those titles is The Eternals. Directed by Chloe Zhao, the film promises to be one of the most diverse ensemble films that Marvel has ever made. Check out the list below.
Marvel Studios’ Phase 3 may be coming to a close with Spider-Man: Far From Home, but they will usher in Phase 4 with a slew of new features from sequels to original titles. One of those original titles is The Eternals.
It looks like a Stark will be joining Marvel Studios’ The Eternals.
Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark in Game of Thrones, is set to be a part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by joining the upcoming film being directed by Chloe Zhao. More on the report below.
And now someone new has joined them. It’s being reported that Train to Busan star Ma Dong-seok, who also goes by the name Don Lee, is also set to join the film, making his US debut. More on the report below.
