Yesterday, Universal Studios and Legendary Pictures unveiled the poster for Warcraft, and announced that the trailer for the movie would be released this Friday.
Apparently, Friday isn’t coming soon enough, because judging by fan reaction, it looks like people want to see more now! Therefore, the studios have released today a quick teaser video for the upcoming trailer.
This Friday, we will finally see some footage from the epic new movie Warcraft based on Blizzard Entertainment’s game series of the same name when the trailer drops. In the meantime, Universal and Legendary have released a new poster for the film. Check it out here below.
While the movie itself won’t be out until June 2016, there is a lot of anticipation as a Warcraft game/movie crossover has been in the works for a very long time. Fans have been anxious for months now to see how ILM and director Duncan Jones will bring the rich fantasy world to life. This despite Universal Studios reportedly being nervous about the film after a mediocre response at SDCC 2015. With the trailer, we can finally see the Horde axes crushing down some Alliance shields (hopefully). Perhaps then the Universal won’t be as nervous.
During Legendary Pictures’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, which also included Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, long-in-the-making World of Warcraft movie took the Hall H stage.
This is director Moon and Source CodeDuncan Jones‘ third year working on the movie, titled Warcraft, after presenting and teasing the film the last two Comic-Cons. Jones wanted the movie to be an epic fantasy adventure movie, and something that was made to appeal to a wide audience beyond the loyal gamers.
Also taking part in the panel was cast members Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu, Paula Patton, Robert Kazinsky, Ruth Negga, Ben Schnetzer, Clancy Brown, and Ben Foster.
In anticipation for the Legendary Panel that is being held today at San Diego Comic-Con today, Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have released two brand new posters for the Duncan Jones adaptation of Warcraft. Based on the popular video game, these two new posters feature two of the main characters of the film, Lothar (Travis Fimmel) and Durotan (Toby Kebbel).
Director Duncan Jones is deep into the production on 2016’s Warcraft movie. But Jones did take the time to take to Twitter yesterday, and he revealed a unique experience where you can get a sneak peek at the world of Azeroth, where the film based on Blizzard Entertainment’s Warcraft franchise is set in.
