Jaume Collet-Serra Drops Out Of ‘Suicide Squad 2’ and Boards ‘Jungle Cruise’ Directing Gig

Just when you thought that the DCEU had things in order, they lose another director. Jaume Collet-Serra (Non-Stop, The Shallows), who was in the running to direct Suicide Squad 2, has now dropped out.

However, he will be boarding Disney’s Jungle Cruise, the Dwayne Johnson-starring vehicle that is based on the popular Disneyland ride of the same name. More on the story below.

First Trailer For ‘Jumanji’ Sequel ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ Released

The first trailer has been released for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the sequel to the 1995 Robin Williams adventure movie Jumanji.

The movie re-unites Central Intelligence co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, who are joined on the cast by Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, Bobby Cannavale, and more.

Video: Dwayne Johnson Imagines Himself In Sequels To Hit Movies

One actor who does not have trouble finding work these days is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. At this very moment, he has 13 different projects in various stages of current status ranging from announced to pre-production to filming to post-production, and finally, completed (his latest movie, Baywatch). With this many projects, it’s safe to assume he’s showered with offers, and a large amount of those offers are not for the most appealing roles.

GQ Magazine, who has Johnson on the cover of their 2017 Comedy Issue, has released a video in which Johnson imagines himself playing some odd roles in sequels to hit movies such as Goodfellas, Home Alone, Napoleon Dynamite, and even a remake of The Revenant.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Commandeers Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ (Image)

Following the news that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would start shooting Disney’s Jungle Cruise next year, comes a photo showing just how committed he is to the project.

The actor snapped a shot of himself on board a Jungle Cruise full of Disney World park guests. But he wasn’t there just to mingle. In fact, he commandeered the vessel and was the skipper for the duration of the ride. More on the story below.

Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Finally Heads Off To Production

Sure Disneyland has a wealth of rides inspired by characters and films, but they also have some original ones as well. With the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, it was only a matter of time before another ride got the big-screen adaptation treatment. Jungle Cruise is another one of those rides. The film was originally a Tim Allen and Tom Hanks-starring vehicle, but now has turned into something with an action slant now that Dwayne Johnson is the leading star. But with his workload, it was hard to imagine Jungle Cruise would ever happen. Now there is confirmation that the film will start production in 2018. More on the story below.
