The long awaited South Park RPG from Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment, South Park: The Stick of Truth, has been on the way for what feels like…well, forever. But that’s only a testament to how insanely awesome it looks.
We saw a trailer for the game last E3, and while it’s short, it’s still exciting to see a new trailer unveiled at E3 2013. Remember, the game was originally to be published by THQ, who went under recently. Lots of games and franchises landed at various publishers, and Stick of Truth landed itself on Ubisoft’s doorstep.

It wouldn’t be E3 without a new Assassin’s Creed game, and now that Ubisoft appears to have learned not to linger too long in one time period, the games have grown more and more exciting.
One of the most popular new features of the last game, Assassin’s Creed III, was by far the naval gameplay. Interest in the game ignited after that incredible naval gameplay demo was shared at last year’s E3, and Ubisoft is smartly capitalizing on that with Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The new game will let us be something most people have dreamed of or pretended being as a kid: pirates!
Continue below to see the first gameplay demo for Assassin’s Creed 4.
If you’re all about the strange and unusual and uniquely stylized, E3 2013 has that covered as well.
A new game on the way from Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games titled Killer is Dead should tweak your brain in ways you didn’t think possible. As you’ll see in the gameplay trailer below, the game has a Japanese anime presentation and involves a hack and slash combat system.
Apart from that, there’s really not many words I can think of to describe what you’re about to see. So go forth, and witness Killer is Dead for yourself.
The next game from Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream, Beyond: Two Souls, is definitely one of the most anticipated upcoming games. We got our first look at the game and its star, Ellen Page, at last year’s E3. Then came that incredible 35-minute gameplay demo, and that’s all you really needed to see.
E3 2013 brings with it another lengthy gameplay demo—this one slightly shorter at only 22 minutes—as well as a new trailer. The gameplay demo isn’t as good as the 35 minute one, but still very worth watching. And before you ask, no, I do not know why Ellen page is subtitled and little Salim is not.

Sony doesn’t get nearly as many exclusive video game titles as Microsoft does, but they’re still walking out of E3 the victors after some exciting announcements about their new PlayStation 4 console.
One PS4 exclusive they do have coming is The Order: 1886, a new game from God of War PSP developers Ready At Dawn, and the first cinematic trailer for the game was released during E3 2013.
The game has the late 19th-century look you’d expect after reading the title, but also some steampunk and even futuristic vibes with a collection of weaponry you wouldn’t expect to see in 1886. It has a sort of a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen feel to it, if a comparison had to be made.
Check out the first cinematic trailer for The Order: 1886 below.
