Dead Rising 3 is officially on the way, and the first gameplay demo for the game was shown off at E3 2013 this week.
Whether you’re a fan of the franchise or not, one thing remains increasingly undeniable: boy, they sure get a lot of zombies on your screen. Known for their hordes of undead as well as the wide variety of weapons available to you for dispatching them, Capcom’s game series always gives you your money’s worth if all you’re seeking is to bash the remaining life out of the walking dead, and that clearly has not changed at all here.

Remember that super creepy yet unbelievably realistic old man’s head Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream’s David Cage showed at PlayStation 4 event to share an example of how powerful the machine was? Many people said it looked that good because it was only one giant floating nightmare head, which may be true to a point. But now Quantic has taken it another step with a full tech demo of a game titled The Dark Sorcerer featuring that same creepy head (who turns out to be Braveheart and Ghandi star David Gant) with a body now attached to it and all sorts of other stuff going on.
Unfortunately it is just a tech demo; at first I was pretty excited it was an actual game (having missed the text at the beginning). Then things take a bit of a turn, and you’ll know exactly when that is when you watch the video below. It’s well worth your time, I assure you.
Another gameplay demo presented for the first time at E3 2013 was for Batman: Arkham Origins, the prequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.
The video shows just how big the map is, as you’ll navigate Gotham City on Christmas Eve while some of the deadliest assassins try to take you out in hopes of collecting the $50 million bounty put on your head by crime lord Black Mask.
The demo also touches on some of the various things you’ll be doing in the game, such as analyzing evidence and putting all of the pieces together or tracking down and disarming bombs that have been planted by Anarky.

It’s not much, but something fans of Star Wars video games have been screaming for for an eternity peeked its head out at E3 2013.
During the Electronic Arts presentation, a brief teaser trailer was shown. It wasn’t clear what it was at first, but soon everything became very clear: a new Star Wars: Battlefront game coming.
At the end of the Electronic Arts presentation during E3 2013, Dice made a special surprise after showing off their latest, Battlefield 4.
The developers showed off an announcement trailer for a game fans have been screaming for for a long, long time now: Mirror’s Edge 2. The games see you taking the first-person perspective of Faith, as she navigates the environment using parkour abilities.
Be sure to continue below to check out the announcement trailer for Mirror’s Edge 2 now.
