Netflix has released an official trailer for the upcoming Breaking Bad movie El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which follows a recent teaser which was released for the 2019 Emmy Awards Sunday night.
The movie will follow Jesse Pinkman (once again played by Aaron Paul), as he comes to terms with his past after escaping captivity. It is written and directed by Vince Gilligan, the creator of the original AMC series.

It wasn’t too long ago when Netflix dropped the date announcement video for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie from creator Vince Gilligan. The film isn’t due to premiere on Netflix until later this October, followed by it showing on AMC — where the original series aired — in 2020.
But before any of us can get into that, Gilligan is talking about the upcoming film, why he is making it, and the advice he has for those who want to jump into El Camino without having watched Breaking Bad in its entirety. Check out what he had to say below.
It was revealed in February that the planned Breaking Bad movie starring Aaron Paul returning as Jesse Pinkman would be coming to Netflix, and now we know when!
Netflix released a date announcement trailer today for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. The footage centers on Skinny Pete, played by Charles Baker, who’s reprising his Breaking Bad role as Jesse Pinkman’s friend and fellow drug user and pusher. In the video, we see Pete’s been brought in for questioning in regards to Jesse’s whereabouts, but it doesn’t look like he has any intentions of giving his old friend up. Watch the video here below.
As we found out in November of last year, a Breaking Bad movie from the creator of the TV series Vince Gilligan is on the way, and it will followAaron Paul‘s character Jesse Pinkman and his quest for freedom.
At the time it wasn’t clear if the movie would air on AMC, or if it would be released in theaters or elsewhere. Now we have an answer to that question. It’s being reported that the movie will air not only on AMC, but on Netflix as well.
Though Breaking Bad as a televised series is officially over, Jesse Pinkman’s (Aaron Paul) ending was pretty ambiguous. That being said, it opened the door for fans to theorize if he would create a new life in Alaska, pick up Brock, or just stay on the run. So for those who are looking for some sort of closure may actually get it with the newly announced movie.
A new report says the Breaking Bad movie will center on Jesse Pinkman and his “quest for freedom.” More on the report, below.
