Monty Python To Reunite For ‘Absolutely Anything’
  |  @   |

Before you get too excited, no, Monty Python is not officially reuniting for some more Flying Circus action. It does appear, however, that the remaining members of the legendary comedy troupe will once again be combining their talents for an upcoming movie titled Absolutely Anything, which is set to be directed by Pythoner Terry Jones.

The movie will be a sci-fi comedy that combines live action and CGI. It tells the story of a group of aliens who choose a human to give the incredible power to do, well…quite literally absolutely anything just to see how badly they mess things up with their new abilities. At the moment, other Python members John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, and Michael Palin have all agreed to take part, and producers are currently talking to Eric Idle about joining. And who will the gang play? You guessed it, they’ll be voicing the aliens who give the human this power.

Check Out Chubby Puss In Boots & Warrior Gingerbread Man In These New ‘Shrek 4’ Character Posters
  |  @   |

Paramount Pictures has released a batch of new posters from the upcoming fourth film in their Ogre with a heart of gold franchise, Shrek Forever After.

Most of these new posters are actually pretty awesome, but that could just be because I’m a big Shrek fan. It can’t be denied that Shrek the Third was a swing and a miss, but the first two were a ton of fun, and we can only hope for a return to form with this one. It will really all depend on if filmmakers reacted to the negativity with positive action, or if they just want to cash-in one last time. For integrity’s sake, let’s hope for the former.

Take a magical journey over to the other side to see the four new posters from Shrek Forever After now!

Watch Now: Teaser Trailer For ‘Shrek Forever After’
  |  @   |

It’s amazing how many trailers have been released this week, and there’s no signs of things slowing down any time soon. The first teaser trailer for Shrek Forever After is the latest to be shown to the world, and you can give it a little peek below.

The movie will be the final film made in the series, though there is the planned Puss in Boots spinoff is still on the table. Stars of previous movies like Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, Justin Timberlake, Julie Andrews, and Eric Idle are all returning with newcomers to the cast including Kristin Schaal, Craig Robinson, Kathy Griffin, and Jon Hamm.

After Shrek the Third, many were turned off of the series. The first two movies were great fun, but there’s no denying that the third film was a complete flat tire. Shrek Forever After has already made one mistake in using terrible songs in their movies as you will hear here, but hopefully this fourth film will return us back to the magic of Shrek 2.

Continue on to the other side to watch the trailer for Shrek Forever After, and head to Apple for the HD options.

Watch Now: Tonight’s ‘Monty Python’ Reunion + Clips From ‘Almost The Truth’ DVD
  |  @   |

The Monty Python comedy troupe are currently celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first broadcast of their 1969 BBC TV series Monty Python’s Flying Circus and tonight the surviving members — John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, and Michael Palin — reunited at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC. A video of the event is now online, which you can watch here below — and I suggest you do so! It’s great stuff, seeing the gang together again, talking about their experiences and creating the sketches for the show, basically just answering questions from the audience. Seriously, watch now!

Also, there’s two new clips online from the documentary Monty Python: Almost The Truth: The Lawyers Cut, a 3-disc DVD — due out on DVD and Blu-ray on October 27, 2009 — with new interviews with the fabulous British comedians as well as other celebrities, along with tons of clips from pre-Python material, the original Flying Circus TV series and the films. Watch the two clips here below: one of John Cleese talking about writing the “Cheese Shop”; the other of comedian Steve Coogan (Tropic Thunder) doing “The Undertaker” skit. From October 18-23, IFC will be airing the documentary in six parts, so you can catch it ahead of time (though the DVD will have more material in it).
