Jim Carrey Now Out Of The Farrelly Brothers’ ‘Dumb and Dumber To’
  |  @   |

It is really sad to see a promising comedy fall apart, especially if it’s a comedy that everyone has been waiting for. Let’s pretend for a moment like the Dumb and Dumber prequel Dumb and Dumber: When Harry Met Lloyd never happened. Or if you are of the group that never watched it in the first place, then you need not worry. But if you did, pretend it never happened. Everyone has been waiting for a true follow-up to Dumb and Dumber, and for a moment it looked like it was going to happen.

Warner Brothers was setting up a sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, which would have the original stars of the film Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels come back and reprise their respective roles. Now it appears that Carry is unhappy with WB’s unenthusiastic interest for the sequel, and as a result, he has pulled himself out of the project.

Farrelly Bros Confirm ‘Dumb & Dumber 2’; Production To Begin This Fall
  |

At a press junket for their latest movie The Three Stooges, directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly took some time to discuss the long-rumored sequel to their 1994 smash hit debut Dumb & Dumber, which also helped launch the career of star Jim Carrey. Coming Soon reports that Peter Farrelly said that the movie is definitely in the works with the stars returning and that the brothers are looking to begin production later this year on Dumb & Dumber 2 (title subject to change).”

We’re getting set to shoot Dumb and Dumber 2 in September,” Farrelly said. “It’s the first sequel we’ve ever done and we’ve got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back.”

First Trailer For The Farrelly Brothers’ Long-Awaited ‘Three Stooges’ Has Arrived
  |  @   |

The first trailer for the Farrelly Brothers‘ long-awaited and oft-troubled new take on The Three Stooges has arrived, and it is pretty painful to watch.

There was always a dim ray of hope that maybe the movie would end up surprising us with word that it would be in three segments and that they would be able to use the Three Stooges theme music, as well as rumored stars like Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro. But as you’ll see, with stars Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos (not to mention Snooki from MTV’s Jersey Shore, for some inexplicable reason) this is already the vandalization of a beloved classic we feared it would be.

You can see the trailer for The Three Stooges by clicking on over to the other side now.

First Look At ‘The Three Stooges’
  |

While this labor of love for the Farrelly Brothers has taken quite a bit of time and pain to get to the big screen, we finally have our first look at the cast of the upcoming adaptation of The Three Stooges.

The film stars Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos as Curly, Larry and Moe, respectively, and I must say, this looks absolutely awful.

Yet Another Attempt At ‘The Three Stooges’ Movie, This Time At Fox
  |  @   |

We’ve heard more than our fair share of updates from the planned Farrelly Brothers movie based on The Three Stooges. The movie has been on the way for what seems like an eternity, and Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro were all attached to star as the bumbling trio at one point.

Sadly, the movie was another of the many victims of MGM’s highly publicized financial troubles, and constant delays saw the project fall to pieces.

Now it would appear that The Three Stooges has new life with word of a brand new home. Deadline is reporting that 20th Century Fox has picked up the pieces and will now move forward with the movie, hoping to begin filming by March. This also puts them back on the trail for the next set of actors they’ll choose for the lead roles.
