So here’s the deal, I am a Vampirella fan. I have been for years and I doubt that will ever change. But after several decades, the stories are starting to blend together. Not to say that I didn’t like Savage Tales: Vampirella #1 but it has some predictable plot points to it.

Would you look at this, I’m getting to review a Kiss comic. Usually Empress Eve is the one who gets the pleasure of reviewing Kiss items, but as luck would have it, she’s extraordinarily busy right now and I didn’t hesitate to jump on it! So here is Dynamite Entertainment’s KISS #1!
The setup is this: The world reached a point where civilization was in jeopardy and war threatened to exterminate mankind, once and for all. The Great War, as it is now referred to 468 years later, forced a large group of people underground. They pieced together a new society, saving what they could from the surface in an attempt to preserve at least some of their history. For almost five centuries, these survivors have lived in the subterranean city of Blackwell in peace and solitude. But nothing lasts forever.

Wow, those Predators really get around. We know from the films that they treat our world like their own personal hunting lease. We’ve seen them fight virtually everything under the sun from Batman to Aliens to Tarzan, but nothing could have prepared us for Archie Vs. Predator #1! I saw this one in the lists and just knew I had to read it. And I bet you’re curious, too!
The setting is Riverdale as our buddy Archie and his pals debate on what to do on their Spring Break. Thanks to a miraculous windfall of Jughead’s, the group gets a free trip to a beach resort. The odd ducks out here are Cheryl and Jason, who seem bent on making life difficult for the teens.
