Exclusive World Premiere Video: Dead Register “Grave”
  |  @   |

The Atlanta-based band known as Dead Register describe their sound as “genre-bending, monolithic, gothic-tinged, gloomy, melodic, doom-gaze.” If you’re having trouble getting your head around that, just picture Type O Negative covering a Pinkish Black song in the style of Bauhaus and that should put you on the right mental track.

Formed in 2013 by married couple M. Chvasta (vocals, bass, bass vi) and Avril Che (bass synth, textures, keys, and background vocal accompaniment), the band spent a year demoing material before recruiting drummer Chad Williams to round out their unique trio. Another year was then spent fleshing out the tunes, all the while writing a bunch more. Eventually in 2015, Dead Register picked six of their favorite compositions and entered the studio to record what would become their debut full-length album Fiber. The album was released back on May 6th of this year and has been gaining steam ever since.

Now Dead Register are gracing us here at Geeks of Doom with the exclusive first look at their creepy new video for the track “Grave.” The song may hold a special appeal to our readers, as it encompasses elements drawn from horror movies, video games, and (of course) heavy metal. Check it out below.
