A launch trailer has been released for The Sinking City, the latest game from Frogwares, developer of Sherlock Holmes games Crimes and Punishments and The Devil’s Daughter, which is inspired by author H.P. Lovecraft‘s legendary horror universe.
The game is a third-person, open-world action investigation title in which you play as a private eye in 1920s Oakmont, Massachusetts who is tasked with figuring out why the city is being affected by devastating flooding while also trying to maintain his slowly fading sanity.

A new gameplay demo has been released for developer Frogwares’ The Sinking City, an upcoming video game inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
The gameplay demo clocks in at about 12 minutes, and shares a look at navigating the map and working on one of the quests. The game is developed by Frogwares, best known for their series of Sherlock Holmes games including more recent titles Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter and Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. Similar to another game inspired by Lovecraft, Call of Cthulhu, it’s set in 1920s New England and follows a private investigator.
