‘Vikings’ Webisode Athelstan’s Journal: The Choice (Video)
  |  @   |

I’m starting to think that all this reflection and journaling is not doing Athelstan (George Blagden) a bit of good. Did you see what happened as a result of his giving into temptation with Judith (Jennie Jacques)? Ok, to be fair in Vikings 3.5 “The Usurper,” we found out that the slaughter of the viking settlement was part of an elaborate King Ecbert (Linus Roache) plan. But I do think that Aethlwulf (Moe Dunford) relished it all the more because his wife is now carrying the priest’s bastard.

In Athelstan’s Journal: Stones and Bones Chapter 5: The Choice, he talks to the Seer (John Kavanagh) of truth.

See that video, the “Power and Ambition” video, and the Vikings 3.5 “The Usurper” recap video below.

‘Vikings’ Webisode: Athelstan’s Journal: Harvest (Video)

Athelstan: “Can any man ever be truly free?”
The Seer: “There is freedom in death.”

Another new webisode in the Vikings series, titled Athelstan’s Journal: Harvest, has been released.

The harvest the Seer (John Kavanagh) speaks of is the one we reap from the life we sow. It looks like Athelstan (George Blagden) should have kept his pants on with Judith (Jennie Jacques). She reveals to her husband Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford) that she is with child. His reaction? You see him strike down the viking settlers in a fit of rage -women, children, everyone. I wonder how King Ecbert (Linus Roache) will react to that considering how hard he was crushing on Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick)?

Check out the webisode and bonus video “Roll like Rollo” below.

There are serious spoilers here! If you have not watched Vikings Episode 3.3 “Warrior’s Fate” or Episode 3.4 “Scarred,” what are you waiting for?

Last week on Vikings, our favorite barbarians went after Princess Kwenthrith’s (Amy Bailey) brother’s half of the troops, after they fled from scary Ragnar (Travis Fimmel). Torstein (Jefferson Hall), got to die with honor as the sacrifice, thanks to Rollo (Clive Standen) dragging him up a mountain. He was the bravest facing those soldiers. “I will go first.” Such are the harsh realities of battle.
