Although the Christmas season is winding down now, before we head into the new year, we thought we’d share with you this awesome gingerbread recreation of the U.S.S. Enterprise starship from Star Trek that Blackmarket Bakery created and displayed at their shop in Costa Mesa, CA.
Check out some of the photos here below of the gingerbread recreation, which shows the Federation starship NCC-1701 hovering in the air while firing a peppermint candy cane laser down onto a cookie surface.
Disney’s animated feature Frozen has taken the world by storm since its 2013 theatrical release, so it’s not surprising that the company is doing everything possible to populate the world with more Frozen. For example, there’s already plans for a new theatrical short, Frozen Fever; a Broadway musical; and a new attraction at Disney World’s Norway Pavilion at EPCOT to replace The Maelstrom.
The Frozen characters already have a huge presence at Disney World, and now, they’ve been incorporated into Disney World’s Contemporary Resort’s massive Gingerbread display. Check out the video here below that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the Frozen display, which is just one of many Gingerbread showcases throughout the Florida theme park.
I love gingerbread creations, so chances are I’ll be posting any interesting finds in the world of massive, creative gingerbread constructions.
I also am crazy in love with Star Wars, which is why I totally dig this Gingerbread AT-AT, which is currently on display at Orange County’s Discovery Science Museum.
When it comes to gingerbread, the only thing I excel at is in eating it. But there are people out there who are incredibly artistic with gingerbread houses and other concepts, and this Gingerbread TARDIS is of no exception.
Based on the time machine used by the Last of the Time Lords in Doctor Who, LiveJournal user therru has created a masterpiece just in time for the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Actually, therru made this Gingerbread TARDIS last Christmas, but decided to share with everyone how to make their own for this Christmas!
The final result is fabulous, and looks amazing. If Tom Baker saw this, he would think it to be “indomitable” and that the only thing missing would be jelly babies.
Be sure to click over to therru’s LiveJournal page for the full step-by-step procedure on how to make your own Gingerbread TARDIS – Fantastic!
