‘Friday The 13th: The Game’ Gets A “Killer” New Trailer
  |  @   |

For PAX East 2017, developer Gun Media has released a new trailer for Friday the 13th: The Game.

The trailer is presented as a music video for a song called “Killer” by Crazy Lixx, and, fitting to its name, the video is incredibly violent. You know the words to this song. If you’re at all offended by digital fictional characters causing harm or being harmed in lots and lots of gruesome ways, probably best to steer clear.

For the rest of you, do prepare yourself for some classic Jason Voorhees brutality and click on over to the other side to watch the new trailer.

Watch Lots Of ‘Friday The 13th’ Video Game Footage
  |  @   |

We’ve seen some peeks at Friday the 13th: The Game in the past, but nothing really substantial. Thankfully the closed beta for the game has now kicked off, which means lots of great looks at the game.

Below you’ll find two of these lengthy looks at the game. The first is 17 minutes of camp counselor gameplay footage. The second is 15 minutes of Jason Voorhees gameplay. This is the beta, so remember the game is not yet finished. Still, it’s great getting a nice long look at it and people actually playing it.

A Look At The ‘Friday The 13th’ Game’s Menu (Video)

If you’re excited about Friday the 13th: The Game, you’ve likely been excited by everything we’ve seen so far.

It’s not much, but now comes a video sharing what the game’s beta splash menu looks like. The video shares a few different views of Jason Voorhees—close enough to guarantee death for any camp counselor who wanders too near to the Crystal Lake killer—along with some fittingly intense music.

‘Friday The 13th’ Game: Single Player Confirmed; Release Delayed
  |  @   |

I’ve always been excited about Friday the 13th: The Game. But at the same time, I don’t play a whole lot of co-op games. Some kind of single-player option has been on the table for a while but not guaranteed.

Thankfully a single-player option has now been confirmed. Also confirmed is Tommy Jarvis as a playable character and a Packanack Lodge map. But the good news also comes with a bit of bad news. Because the final release will now be bigger, more time is needed to finish it. The game was planned to release sometime soon in the fall of 2016. Now the original multiplayer will arrive in early 2017, with the single-player planned for summer of 2017.

You can find the full announcement below.

E3 2016: ‘Friday The 13th’ Gameplay Demo
  |  @   |

We’ve seen little peeks and glimpses of Friday the 13th: The Game over the past year, but now the first real look at gameplay has finally arrived.

For those unfamiliar with it, it’s a co-op game in which a group of players take on the role of camp counselors trying to escape the iconic Jason Voorhees, who is also controlled by a player. The world premiere gameplay demo released by developer Gun Media kicks off with Jason tracking down—and brutally dispatching of—some counselors. It then shows what it looks like to be a counselor trying to escape or hide.
