Seandps Top 10 (+1) Movies Of 2020
  |

Well folks, we made it through the crazy year that was 2020. Everything is different, but thankfully we still had movies to give us a few distractions and some much-needed laughs at time. But even that was different, we spent less time in a dark theater with a crowd of folks, replacing that experience with our TVs and sound systems at home with numerous streaming services to offer up movies to entertain us. I think I usually average around 70 new movies a year, but sadly this year it was only 42, and that includes even older movies I saw for the first time. And the back catalog of stuff on the various streaming services, I missed out on a bunch of movies too.

And as you can see from the title, we are doing things a little different as well. I had my list down to 11 movies and even after about a week of trying to narrow it down, I couldn’t, so you are getting 10 (+1) this year.

  |  @   |

Sunday night saw the Atlanta Falcons and the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots face off during Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and as usual, there were plenty of interesting and highly anticipated commercials that pertained to movies and television that aired during the Big Game as well as during the pre-Game, Halftime, and post-Game shows that we covered throughout the evening.

So we’ve collected a bunch of these Super Bowl ads here below for your enjoyment, since there was plenty of new TV and movie footage revealed, and of course, those clever and celebrity-filled product commercials. Instead, I’ve embedded most of the movie and TV spots, along with my favorites from all those car, beer, and soda-type adverts, most of which feature celebrities.

  |  @   |

The Tony-winning Broadway musical Hamilton is a smash hit that recently set the record for most money grossed in a week on Broadway ($3.3 million for 8 performances in one week). The show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has become synonymous with Alexander Hamilton since singlehandedly bringing the American political figure to the forefront of pop culture. So, you can imagine that having Miranda narrate an Alexander Hamilton-themed episode of Drunk History is a pretty big deal.

Hosted by Derek Waters, Episode 4.10 “Hamilton” of the Comedy Central show airs today, November 29 at 10:30/9:30c, and sees Miranda quite drunkenly and humorously providing a brief history of the Founding Father’s personal and political life, and his first and last meetings with Aaron Burr.

Check out a clip from the episode here below.
