‘Hitman 2’: “World Of Assassination” Reveal Trailer

Before E3 2018 kicked off earlier this summer IO Interactive announced that Hitman 2, a sequel to their episodic reboot of the hit video game series, was on the way.

Now, as Gamescom 2018 gets started this week, they’ve released a “World of Assassination” trailer for the new game. The trailer also reveals some exciting news for fans of the games: all of the missions from the previous game have been updated with the sequel’s improvements and will be available to play within Hitman 2. And better yet, if you already own the previous game, you’ll have access to these updated missions for free.

E3 2018: ‘Hitman 2’ Announce and Gameplay Trailers

Before E3 2018 kicked off this week it was announced that Hitman 2—a follow-up to developer IO Interactive’s episodic soft reboot of the popular assassin series and the seventh title overall in the main series—was on the way.

The announce trailer for the sequel was then followed by the release of a gameplay trailer for “Miami,” one of the six new locations Agent 47 visits to deal with targets and fulfill contracts.

Hulu Developing TV Series Based On ‘Hitman’ Games From ‘John Wick’ Writer

The Hitman video game franchise is beloved among gamers. Attempts to adapt the games, which follow the assassin known as Agent 47, have not gone so well.

Now there’s new hopes for fans of the games who dream of seeing a faithful live-action adaptation. But it’s not a movie this time. Hulu and Fox 21 Television Studios are developing a live-action TV series based on the games from Derek Kolstad, the writer behind the John Wick movies.

‘Hitman’: Developer IO-Interactive Confirms Next Game In Series Being Worked On

Earlier this year it was revealed that video game publisher Square Enix had decided to part ways with developer IO-Interactive. This left the future of the popular Hitman game series, created by IO, with a large question mark next to it.

Yesterday the Hitman Game of the Year Edition, which was announced last month, was released. To mark the occasion, IO-Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak released a statement. And in this statement, he made Hitman fans very happy by confirming that the developer, now operating independently, is working on the next game in the series.
