On this week’s Drill Down podcast, Siri & “OK Google“ get new AI company from Samsung, Uber management crumbles, the U.S. bans electronics from incoming flights, Resistbot, genetic discrimination, Amazon‘s Mecha-CEO, a dartboard you’ll never miss… and much much more.
This week, no silver lining for cloud services in the wake of NSA leaks, Blackberry looks for a buyer, Bitcoin gets subpoenaed, Tesla‘s Elon Musk wants us all to be in the loop, and more…
On last night’s episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, fill-in host John Oliver (who I love!) did a segment called “Track to the Future,” which took a look at the much-talked-about “Hyperloop,” the super high-speed train proposed by SpaceX CEO and PayPal co-founder Elon Musk that would get travelers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in just 30 minutes.
In the six-minute segment of the comedy news show, Oliver took umbrage with CNN Live’s profile on Musk, where they state that the 42-year-old billionaire inventor was the inspiration for Iron Man‘s Tony Stark character. (Oh, yes they did!)
