Good news comes this week for one of our favorite indie publishers, Archaia Entertainment, as they recently announced a very special collaboration with film company Relativity Media. Archaia will be publishing a hardcover graphic novel anthology based on the story set up in Relativity’s upcoming 3D epic, Immortals, which stars Henry Cavill, best known right now as the man who will be Superman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming reboot.

He also talked about the training he went through to get in shape for Immortals, which no doubt made him an even more perfect candidate for Superman. “Lots of cardiovascular, lots of mixed martial arts, and eating very little.”

We’ve covered all of the Greek mythology epics that have been in the process of being made over the past couple of years quite a bit. Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans came and went — to some pretty heavy negativity, no less — and now we wait patiently for Tarsem Singh‘s Immortals, which if you hadn’t heard, was formerly known as War of Gods.

The first set of images from Immortals have found their way to the internet by way of Rogue Pictures, and they’re good enough to make the November 11, 2011 release date sound just a little too far away.
