During Sony’s PlayStation showcase at E3 last year, an announcement trailer was released for a new Spider-Man game being made by Ratchet & Clank and Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac Games.
For E3 2017, Sony and Insomniac delivered the first gameplay demo for the game, which appears to be simply titled Spider-Man. The gameplay video runs about nine minutes in length, and it’s looking like a hell of a lot of fun to be had if you’re a Spidey fan. It also ends with a reveal of which Spider-Man the game is using. So don’t bail out early!
One of the more visually attractive upcoming next-gen (or current-gen, depending on who you ask) titles is Sunset Overdrive, an over-the-top third-person action game bursting with lots of vivid colors. We saw a gameplay video not too long ago, and now a new video with an entertaining cinematic and some gameplay has come out of E3 2014.
The game comes from Insomniac Games, the makers of the PlayStation exclusive franchises Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance, who have jumped to the other team with this new Xbox One exclusive.
The game is set in 2027, when a powerful new energy drink has turned consumers into mutants, leaving an employee of the company who released the drink to clean up the mess.
You can see the new Sunset Overdrive cinematic and gameplay footage below.
The first video showing off gameplay footage from the upcoming next-gen title Sunset Overdrive has been released online. The game comes from developer Insomniac Games, who are known for the Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance franchises.
The game is a third-person open-world action shooter, offering multiple ways to navigate the map quickly, plenty of explosive colors, unique respawns, and a variety of outrageously creative weapons with which to dispatch of the army of mutated beasties created when a new energy drink called was released to the human race.
Another video game franchise is ready to try its hand at becoming a movie, attempting to prove once and for all that games can become solid movies. This time around, however, the movie will be of the animated variety.
It’s being reported that Ratchet & Clank, the Insomniac Games series that follows a lombax mechanic named Ratchet and his robotic friend Clank as they work their way through numerous adventures, is set to be turned into a 3D animated feature by Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment.
