A St. Patrick’s Day Message From The International Space Station

NASA has posted a video message for St. Patrick’s Day from Expedition 27 Flight Engineer Catherine Coleman, who’s currently aboard the International Space Station.

Watch the video here below.

Coleman, who is part Irish, brought with her on her ISS mission several Irish flutes, courtesy of the Dublin-based group The Chieftains. In the video, she talks a little bit about the instruments and then plays them as she floats inside the space station.

After Dominating Earth, ‘The Avengers’ Now Heads To Space

In case you’re somehow not yet aware, Marvel’s superhero blockbuster The Avengers is kind of a big deal.

The movie shattered the opening weekend domestic record on its way to joining the $1 billion club, and now it’s heading where it hasn’t yet dominated: space.

Marvel Studios has announced that they have spoken with NASA and set up a screening of the movie for the crew of the International Space Station, 220 miles above our planet. The movie will be transferred to NASA’s Mission Control in Houston, who will then uplink it to the Space Station for their viewing pleasure.

Video: ISS Crew Sends New Year’s Wishes

The astronauts at the International Space Station celebrated the new year 240 miles above the Earth.

The crew recorded a special New Year’s message for all of us here on the planet, which you can watch here below. Each of the space men gave a personal greeting, including two crew members who did so floating upside down.
