  |  @   |

Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar has a stellar cast that is comprised of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, Ellen Burstyn, and Michael Caine.

Now you can add Matt Damon to that cast. The Playlist reports that the actor has signed on for a very small role in the film. In fact it is so small that he will only be on set for two weeks out of the four month shoot. The film centers on a group of space explorers who utilizes a newly discovered wormhole to stream across vast distances in an instant. Like almost of the roles in Interstellar, Damon’s role in the film is being kept under wraps.

How Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ May Have Paved The Way For New ‘Friday The 13th,’ ‘South Park’ Movies
  |  @   |

People are excited about director Christopher Nolan‘s next film, Interstellar, without having seen anything from it yet. This is because Christopher Nolan has developed a bit of a reputation for creating awesomeness, starting with Memento (as well as Insomnia, for some) and the first movie in his take on Batman, Batman Begins, and then an impressive alternation between franchise and original work with The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception, and The Dark Knight Rises. His resume speaks for itself.

But something about Interstellar may have movie fans even more excited than the strong growing cast, which includes Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey as well as Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine. See Interstellar is a Paramount Pictures production, and Warner Brothers—who has been involved with all of Nolan’s films except Memento—wanted a piece of the action. Understandable, considering his last three movies have brought in nearly $3 BILLION. But in order to get involved, some goodies were going to have to be sent Paramount’s way.

Jessica Chastain & Michael Caine Join Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’
  |

Christopher Nolan has been assembling quite the cast in recent weeks for his 2014 sci-fi film Interstellar: Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway have already been confirmed for the movie, whose plot is vaguely described as “a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding,” but now we can add two names of equal or greater importance (depending on perspective) to that growing roll call of acting talent – Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine.

Chastain, a recent Oscar nominee for playing a terrorist-hunting CIA operative in the controversial true-life drama Zero Dark Thirty, has seen her career rise to stratospheric heights since 2011 when she delivered standout performances in the acclaimed films Tree of Life, Take Shelter, and The Help – the latter performance earning her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
