Bruce Willis Returns For ‘Sin City’ Sequel; Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Character Revealed

Robert Rodriguez has been promising a sequel to Sin City, the 2005 over-the-top noir comic adaptation he co-directed with its creator Frank Miller, since the original became a smash hit in theaters and on home video. Up until a few months ago there had not been much movement on the project outside of unfulfilled promises and expectations, but production on the upcoming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For – a sequel that will be a combination of previously published comic stories and all-new material conceived by Miller – has been going on at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas for a while now.

Every week seems to bring exciting news on the casting front with original stars Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King reprising their roles alongside new cast members Josh Brolin (playing Dwight, Clive Owen‘s character from the original), Jamie Chung (stepping in for Devon Aoki as the deadly sword-wielding Miho), Dennis Haysbert (replacing the late Michael Clarke Duncan as brutal underworld enforcer Manute), Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Christopher Meloni, and most interesting of all, Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

‘Sin City 2’ Adds Josh Brolin, Christopher Meloni To Cast

After having just been informed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt had been added to the cast of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller‘s Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, now comes word of two more actors joining the cast.

According to sources, both Josh Brolin and Christopher Meloni have now joined the cast of the sequel, which is based on Miller’s comic series.

’24’ Star Dennis Haysbert To Take Over Michael Clarke Duncan’s Role In ‘Sin City 2’

In the 2005 movie Sin City, Michael Clarke Duncan played a bad dude named Manute, who had a run in with Dwight (Clive Owen), Gail (Rosario Dawson), and her girls.

The character will also be part of the upcoming long awaited sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, but, due to the sad and unexpected death of Clarke Duncan, a replacement was necessary.

It’s being reported that Dennis Haysbert, star of the hit TV series 24 and movies like Major League, has entered into negotiations to step into the role.

Jaime King & Jamie Chung Join Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’

Robert Rodriguez confirmed that as soon as he finishes his work on Machete Kills, he is going to jump right into directing Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Well production for Machete Kills is already complete and the director is staying true to his word, as he is already beginning to work on the Sin City sequel by casting two major roles.

According to sources, Jaime King is returning to play Wendy, the sister of Goldie (who was also played by King), and Jamie Chung will play Miho (a role that was previously played by Devon Aoki). Miho will be vital to the story as she helps Dwight locate the double-dealing Ava.

Use The Force For Good: Celebs Re-Enact ‘Star Wars’ Scenes For Stand Up To Cancer

Along with the release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray tomorrow, Lucasfilm has teamed up with eBay, Major League Baseball, and a number of celebrities to urge fans to “Use the Force for Good” and donate to Stand Up to Cancer, the organization that’s tirelessly funding research in the fight against cancer.

In their mission to bring in as much money as possible to fight this terrible disease, a handful of celebrities were brought in to make a video. In it, the stars””which includes Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Jaime King, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Emma Stone, and Samuel L. Jackson“”re–enact various scenes from Star Wars.

You can see the video by heading below now. Might I add that it involves Miss Stone as Princess Leia? Because it does. Not Slave Leia, as I’m sure you all [I] wanted, but Leia nonetheless. For the rest of you, it also has Galifianakis as Leia…so there’s that, too!
