The movie stars Tim Blake Nelson as Buster Scruggs, who will be part of the six different tales told in the film. Also starring is James Franco, Brendan Gleeson, Zoe Kazan, Liam Neeson, and Tom Waits.

A little over a year ago we found out that Academy Award winners Joel Coen and Ethan Coen were making a western anthology for Netflix titled The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. At the time, I misread the project as an anthology series when in fact it was described as a western anthology “project,” not a series. And now we know that it will actually be a six-part western anthology film. Whether those six parts will in total equal the length of one feature film or if each part will be longer than that remains to be seen. Either way, I’m damn excited about it.
Netflix has now released an official trailer for The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, which is presented in the unique style of the Coen brothers. Each chapter tells a story about the American Old West, with Scruggs (played by Tim Blake Nelson) at the center of it all.

“Everybody betrayed me! I’m fed up with this world!”
Hollywood’s curiosity in the independent film was piqued when Wiseau erected a billboard to promote his six million dollar passion project, promising a drama on the level of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire. Now, the unbelievable true story behind The Room “” often referred to as “The Citizen Kane of Bad Movies” “” is chronicled in a movie-about-a-movie directed by James Franco, who also stars as Wiseau.
There’s been whispers that The Disaster Artist, a movie about the making of Tommy Wiseau‘s infamous movie The Room starring James Franco as Wiseau, could be a contender for the upcoming Academy Awards. And as any fan of Wiseau’s movie will tell you, a movie about that movie winning a damn Oscar, well, that would just be magnificent.
But while we wait to see if the movie will score any nominations, A24 has gone ahead and created their own award. It’s called the Tommy Award, and you (yes, you!) can win it. All you have to do is re-create your favorite scene from The Room…in public…and share it online for the world to see. So I won’t be winning a Tommy Award, and that makes me sad. But you (yes, YOU!) still can. Continue below to find out how, and to check out the latest trailer for The Disaster Artist.
An official trailer has been released for The Disaster Artist, the movie about the making of one of the best bad movies ever created, The Room.
We saw a teaser trailer for the movie back in July, which showed Tommy Wiseau (played by James Franco) hilariously doing multiple takes on one of the many memorable scenes from the original. This new trailer shows a lot more from the movie, including some more peeks at scenes which fans of the original will no doubt get a kick out of.
