“They’re teenagers. The last thing they’re interested in is what their parents are doing.” But what do you expect superpowered teenagers to do when their parents are up to no good? Best thing is to probably run away. And that’s what these kids will do in Marvel’s newest show Runaways. This latest series, which will air exclusively on Hulu, will see six teenagers with different powers, uniting to defeat a common foe: their parents.
We’ve seen a couple of photos from the show recently, but now the first trailer has dropped. Check it out here below.
Marvel may rule the superhero movie world with their Marvel Cinematic Universe, but they have also extended that success to television. And with shows on ABC, Netflix, and Freeform, the world of Marvel is about to get bigger with Runaways on Hulu. The show, which is set to debut in November, has a lot of excitement surrounding it, and to help get more people enthusiastic about it, a handful of photos have been released, plus a few new details on the characters that make up the Runaways.
The title show follows six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other, but who must unite against a common foe: their parents. And to help get us acquainted with the show are two new photos. Check them out here below.
Twenty years ago Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1 episode 1 aired on the The WB to modest ratings. The story of the chosen one, a teenage girl destined to protect the world from vampires (and more), resonated with audiences long past when the show ended. I have watched all of the episodes over and over, and although I cannot recreate that magic of when I watched the episodes for the first time, sharing the series with someone new is the next best thing. One of the reasons Buffy was so successful was the witty banter the characters let loose in the face of this dangerous life. My list is not complete. I can probably write a list of 200 quotes, and still not be done, but I have chosen ones that really resonate with me. Some are not exactly quotes and are more dialogue moments, but I think you will enjoy them anyway.
“In every generation there is a chosen one. She alone will stand against the vampires the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer.”
Buffy The Vampire Slayer began 20 years ago today, and besides being a completely iconic television series from Joss Whedon starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, who kicked ass and sometimes took names, it also contained some serious style, both of the time and timeless.
Amazon has tons of Buffy clothing and other items for the slayer in your life. Check out some of these below.
Happy Valentines Day! Buffy The Vampire Slayer is my favorite show of all time (and I watch a LOT of TV), so I decided to bless you all with a ranked list of least favorite (#10) to favorite (#1!) of the Buffy couples. Whether you agree or disagree with my choices, one thing we can agree upon is how wonderful Joss Whedon’s show was, as we still want to read, write, and talk about it still.
