Hulu Developing Series Based On Douglas Adams’ ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy’
  |  @   |

It’s being reported that Hulu is developing an original series adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, author Douglas Adams‘ classic sci-fi work and the novels that followed it.

The story follows an Englishman named Arthur Dent who finds himself going on adventures in space after aliens destroy Earth to make room for a galactic freeway. It actually began as a BBC radio comedy in 1978 before the first novel was published in 1979. It’s been adapted numerous times, including the 2005 movie starring Martin Freeman, Mos Def, Zooey Deschanel, Sam Rockwell, Bill Nighy, John Malkovich, Stephen Fry, and the late great Alan Rickman.

It was only a matter of time before Michael Bay even considered jumping aboard another blockbuster film. It’s practically his bread and butter. According to new reports, Bay is in talks to direct an adaptation of Lobo, about a grungy space bounty hunter who has crossed paths with some of DC’s most notable intergalactic heroes and villains. Comic-Con Saturday is really shaping up to be just like any other Comic-Con Saturday, with the biggest, most geeked out studios having panels to present highly anticipated movies. Marvel will be there for Doctor Strange and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, maybe another surprise too, because the studio knows what’s up. Then there is Kong: Skull Island from Legendary. Finally, there’s Warner Bros., who will be there for their DCEU shared universe. After the fallout of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we are eagerly awaiting to see how they’ll recover, and their upcoming slate seems to indicate that they can. Both Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman look very exciting, and let’s not forget that Justice League is in the middle of production, so we could get a sweet teaser from them.

But here is an interesting tid bit that was revealed in a press release. The film may have gotten some new writers that we never knew about. The Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot has been written by Zack Snyder, Geoff Johns, and Allan Heinberg. More on the story below.

Nicole Kidman In Talks For Mystery Role In ‘Wonder Woman’
  |  @   |

Now before we get ahead of ourselves and jump for joy, Nicole Kidman is only in talks to star in Wonder Woman for an unspecified, but vital role, according to The Wrap. The site believes that the actress may play Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, and the biological mother to Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). But like most of these comic book cinematic universes, it’s not clear if director Patty Jenkins or anyone over at WB and DC would want to follow the comic book storylines to the letter. More on the story below.
