Prince Eric Chosen For Disney’s Live-Action Take On ‘The Little Mermaid’
Back in July it was reported that One Direction member and Dunkirk star Harry Styles was being considered for the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action take on The Little Mermaid. But ultimately Styles decided to pass up the role in order to focus on his music.
Now, with the rest of the cast already set, Disney has finally chosen an actor to play Prince Eric. According to reports, Jonah Hauer-King has landed the role.

‘Hamilton’ Star Daveed Diggs In Talks To Play Sebastian In Disney’s Live-Action ‘The Little Mermaid’
It looks like another one of the main characters has been cast for The Little Mermaid, Disney’s live-action remake of their 1989 animated classic of the same name.
It’s being reported that Daveed Diggs is in talks to join the cast. If ink meets paper he’ll voice the role of Sebastian the crab, who sang the Academy Award-winning song “Under the Sea” in the animated original.

‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ Star David Dastmalchian Joins Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’
Frank Herbert‘s sci-fi epic Dune is being adapted for the big screen once again. The film, which is being directed by Denis Villeneuve, is a sprawling epic featuring a large number of characters that are part of royal families competing over a valuable planetary resource. In the film, one of the noble families is betrayed and it is up to one of the dutiful royal sons to lead a rebellion that will help restore his family’s claim. But this won’t be just another sci-fi film adaptation, as the film will explore themes of politics, religion, and man’s relationship with nature.
We know that Villeneuve has assembled quite a cast to appear in this possible two-part epic. And now, another actor has joined the fray. According to new reports, Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s David Dastmalchian will join the film. More on the report below.

Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin Latest To Join Crazy ‘Dune’ Cast
It’s starting to look like everyone wants to be a part of Denis Villeneuve‘s adaptation of Dune. The film, which will be based on Frank Herbert‘s novel of the same name, stars Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides. He will be joined by Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Stellan Skarsgard.
And now you can add Aquaman and Thanos into the mix. Reports confirm that Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin are both in talks to have roles in Villeneuve’s film adaptation of the sci-fi epic. More on the report below.

Amazon Studios Orders ‘Cortes’ From Steven Spielberg and Starring Javier Bardem
Amazon Studios has given the greenlight to a four-hour miniseries titled Cortes, which tells the story of Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes.
The miniseries has a ton of talent behind it. It’s based on a screenplay penned by the late great Dalton Trumbo, who wrote movies like Roman Holiday and Spartacus and won two Academy Awards for his work. It’s produced by three-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg through his Amblin Television. It’s created for TV and written by Steven Zaillian, who won an Oscar for writing the screenplay for Spielberg’s Schindler’s List. And Oscar winner Javier Bardem is set to star in the title role and produce.
