Free Comic Book Day 2013: Marvel’s ‘Infinity’ To Feature More Thanos
I’m going to need to program Thanos into my spell checker since it looks like I’m going to be typing his name a lot over the next few years. Marvel Comics bad guy Thanos has already shown up in the pages of Avengers Assemble, and will soon have his own miniseries titled Thanos Rising, and he will also be featured in Marvel’s 2013 Free Comic Book Day offering.
Titled Free Comic Book Day 2013: Infinity, the issue will be written by Jonathan Hickman (Avengers, Manhattan Projects) with art by Jim Cheung (Avengers: Children’s Crusade). The story will feature the start to the next big Marvel event, as well as having a sneak peak at said event and a reprint of Thanos’ first solo story.
Check out the cover below and you can pick up the issue, as well as many other free issues from almost every other comic publisher, by heading down to your local comic store on May 4th, 2013 for Free Comic Book Day.

C2E2 2010: Heinberg and Cheung Reteam For ‘Avengers: The Children’s Crusade’
Marvel‘s Cup of Joe panel Saturday at the 2010 C2E2 was chock full of news and one of the biggest surprises was the announcement of the return of the Young Avengers team of Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung with a new 9-issue miniseries titled Avengers: The Children’s Crusade. The series launches in July and will run bi-monthly.
In a video of Heinberg explaining the series, he said that he is currently writing the script for issue six (with plans to have the whole series written by the time the first issue comes out), so even though it will take a year and a half for the series to be completed, it should be on time.
The story will focus on the Young Avengers characters that were created by Heinberg and Cheung, but will also feature the rest of the Avengers. The plot is said to be about Young Avengers member Wiccan as he tries to track down the Scarlet Witch, who may or may not be his mother.
