Guillermo del Toro Departs ‘Justice League Dark’; ‘Sandman’ Now At New Line Cinema

The Hollywood Reporter ran an article yesterday about how Warner Bros. is currently in the process of moving some of their less kid-friendly DC Comics movie projects, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s Sandman adaptation, over to their New Line Cinema division.

Buried at the very end was the most distressing news the article contained: Guillermo del Toro is no longer directing Justice League Dark, by far the one future DC film venture I wanted to see made more than anything.

‘The Walk’ Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Takes A Walk On A High-Wire

Towards the end of 2014, we got our very first look at The Walk, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, is a telling of the 1970 event when Philippe Petit and a team of conspirators strung a wire between the World Trade Center towers in New York City so that Petit could perform a high-wire walk hundreds of feet above ground. The highly illegal act makes for a promising movie since there is drama, heist, and death-defying stunt elements in the film. Check out the trailer below.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt To Produce & Star In ‘Fraggle Rock’ Movie

The long gestating Fraggle Rock movie has added the kind of star power it needs to finally get into production. Joseph Gordon-Levitt joins the film, based on the The Jim Henson Company’s franchise of the same name, as producer as star, this according to a new report from Variety.

Debuting in 1983, Henson described Fraggle Rock as “a high-energy, raucous musical romp” that is “silly” and “wonderful.” The series centered on “cave-dwelling creatures called Fraggles who have to deal with the industrious Doozers and furry giants called Gorgs,” all of whom lived in the underground world known as Fraggle Rock.

‘The Walk’ Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Stars As ‘Man On Wire’ High-Wire Daredevil

If you’ve seen the 2008 documentary Man on Wire, then you’re familiar with French daredevil Philippe Petit‘s high-wire walk from one of the Twin Towers in New York City to the other one morning in 1974. The stunt was unbelievable to witness, insanely dangerous, and also so very much illegal. The documentary was based on Petit’s book, To Reach the Clouds.

Now Hollywood is ready to take its turn in telling this remarkable story. The first trailer has been released for The Walk, which is directed by Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Flight) and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Philippe Petit.

‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’ Red Band Comic-Con Trailer Has Blood, Bullets, and Badass Ladies

Over the weekend Dimension Films brought their all-star comic book noir sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For to the San Diego Comic-Con for a panel with director Robert Rodriguez, Sin City creator/writer/artist Frank Miller, and several of the film’s stars in attendance. In addition to the celebrity presence some new footage was screened, including an extended red band trailer.
