Star Trek Beyond opens this weekend. Recently the cast and creative team of the film sat down to talk to press about the latest installment of the series.
In the new Star Trek film we see the crew of the Starship Enterprise being challenged in a way they have never been challenged before — in the Kelvin timeline, that is. Separated from one another on a dangerous planet after their ship is destroyed, they deepen their bonds to get back to one another and stop the evil forces that threaten the Federation.
Participating in the press day were cast members Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Chris Pine, John Cho, Zachary Quinto, and Simon Pegg.
There are only a few more days left until the release of Star Trek Beyond, and Paramount is pulling out all the stops to make sure that you go and see this film. If we are to base our reactions from critics who’ve already saw it last week, Beyond looks to be an improvement if not the best film of the franchise since it got rebooted back in 2009. But just in case you still aren’t sure whether or not to see it, the studio has released one final short trailer that puts an emphasis on how much fun you will have.
Paramount will be releasing Star Trek Beyond in just a few weeks, and there is much anticipation surrounding the film. Part of that is sadly contributed due to the tragic passing of Anton Yelchin, but the other – which in no way should overshadow the loss of the actor – is the fact that the film will officially introduce a major character as a gay father.
During the film’s overseas press tour, it has been revealed that Sulu, played by John Cho, will be gay and he and his partner have a daughter together. More on the story below.
Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for the third installment in their rebooted Star Trek film franchise, titled Star Trek Beyond.
The new movie is set to be released in theaters next month, and stars Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, and Idris Elba. It is directed by Justin Lin.

A common criticism of the firstStar Trek Beyond trailer was that it looked more like director Justin Lin took themes and elements of the Fast and Furious franchise and injected it into the lifeblood of Star Trek. However, this new one just released by Paramount Pictures is something that truly can carry the name Star Trek.
Check out the latest trailer here below, along with a new teaser poster.
