New ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ TV Spot Introduces The Revengers

To celebrate the start of the NFL season, Marvel teased fans everywhere with a clash of titans of their own — the one between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), which we will see in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. But to avoid spoilers, we won’t know who the victor is until the film comes out. Though, a few trailers see Thor lying to Bruce Banner, who seems a little confused that he could lose to someone like Thor. But one thing is for sure, we are going to see a brand new team-up featuring some of the MCU’s best fantastical heroes. Now if they could just figure out a name.

‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Posters Have Some Colorful Characters

Thor films have always been colorful. Unlike some of his earthly counterparts, Asgard has been heavy on the fantasy aspect by draping the world in imaginative and fantastical designs.

But with the film just another two months away from release, Marvel is stepping up the marketing game by releasing a set of new Thor: Ragnarok character posters. However, these character posters have a bit more of an artistic pop to them than the generic backgrounds we are used to seeing. Check them all out below.

SDCC 2017: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Trailer Sees Title Character In A Gladiator Fight With Hulk

At SDCC 2017 Saturday, after dropping a few nuggets of news for Ant-Man And The Wasp and Captain Marvel, Director Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchette, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, and, Rachel House all walked out to talk about Thor: Ragnarok. If House’s name sounds a bit unfamiliar, she’s a bit of a last minute announcement, if you haven’t seen Waititi’s, The Hunt For Wilderpeople. But if you have, then the casting makes a lot of sense as she has appeared in four of Watiti’s films.

‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Director Says ‘Planes, Trains, and Automobiles’ Inspired The Film

A lot has gone on since we last saw Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Towards the end of Doctor Strange, it was revealed that he was seeking help from the Sorcerer Supreme to find his father.

How all of this happened is unclear, but we do know Loki had something to do with it. And now more is being revealed about the film’s plot, plus some of the other films that have inspired Thor: Ragnarok, including Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. More below.

Geek Peek: First ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Images Reveal A Bright Colorful World Outside The MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has proven to be quite expansive as it has taken audiences to unheard of realms and unseen galaxies. That has always been what makes the MCU so much fun. Each and very film fits into its own genre while also being a part of a larger superhero universe. So we will get another taste of that in Thor: Ragnarok. A new set of images for the upcoming film has been released giving us our first look at what is to come with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) now having to fight in the gladiator arena while Hela (Cate Blanchett) devises a nefarious plan that could kill all life. We are also getting our first look at Tessa Thompson‘s Valkyrie as well as Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster.
