Well folks, we did it. One more year has passed and things continue to move towards getting back to normal. Although the meaning of normal is still up for debate. For me, normal is a year full of movies that I got to enjoy in the theaters, and more than a few that I wished I had seen in a dark theater instead of my TV. 2021 was the year I hit 53 new movies watched, and I am happy to report that I doubled that in 2022, as I ended up with 112 new movies watched. And just for a quick reminder, any movie I see for the first time, no matter in theaters or on my TV, counts towards that total. If you follow my social media, you know locking in that #10 spot was a very tough decision. And as I was first writing this out, I ended up switching movies once more. Therefore, before we get to my Top 10 movies of 2022, I’d like to highlight a few honorable mentions that just missed making the main list.
The latest Omaze campaign is one that fans of Kevin Smith and his Jay and Silent Bob characters will no doubt be excited about.
The campaign offers fans a chance to hang out with Smith, Jason Mewes, and Shannon Elizabeth—who all starred in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back together in 2001—to re-live some of those early-2000s glory days. You’ll also score VIP access to a screening of the sequel/reboot/remake Jay and Silent Bob Reboot with the cast, and even get to have dinner with Elizabeth. And of course, you’ll be supporting a good cause if you donate.

Back in 2017 when Kevin Smith shared that he had written a sequel to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, he also mentioned that the long discussed Clerks IIIwas dead due to one of the four leads opting out. It was eventually revealed that the lead who opted out was Jeff Anderson, who played Randal Graves in the first two movies.
But now, with Jay and Silent Bob Reboot set to release soon, Smith has announced that Clerks III is back from the dead with the cast, including Anderson, set to return. Smith made the announcement on social media, which you can see below.
Fans of Masters Of The Universe animated series will be happy to know that Kevin Smith will be behind a new story that is a continuation of the original series.
Smith made the announcement at Powercon this past weekend, which was then accompanied by a teaser that was posted on Twitter by Netflix. Here’s how they described the upcoming animated series:
The big news after this month’s release of the first trailer for Kevin Smith‘s Jay and Silent Bob Reboot was that A-lister Ben Affleck would return to the writer/director’s View Askewniverse. Smith later posted to his social media accounts how he and Affleck, after years of estrangement, had finally reunited.
The first trailer contains plenty of celebrity cameos, including one from Affleck, but it also showed that fellow A-lister and Affleck’s original bestie and frequent co-star Matt Damon would also be back in the fold! Today, Smith posted to his social media accounts about Damon’s role in the new movie.
